Object donations
If you have an object that links to Poole's history and you'd like to donate it to the museum, we'd love to hear from you!
Thank you for thinking of Poole Museum. At the moment, we are not accepting new object donations, but we would still love to hear from you.
If you have an object that links to Poole’s history and you think it may be important or interesting, please get in touch with us first rather than bringing it into the museum. This helps us understand your object and decide the best next steps.
Please fill out our online form below which asks for the following information:
- What the object is
- The date or time period the object comes from (if known)
- Where the object comes from and who owned it (its provenance)
- How the object links to Poole’s history
- Your contact details: name, email address and phone number
Or email us these details with an image of the object to: hello@poolemuseum.org.uk

We will look at your enquiry remotely and assess it carefully. Please do not bring your object to the museum unless we contact you and ask you to do so.
Someone from the team will then get in touch if this object is of interest, but this may not be for a month or two.
Every enquiry helps us better understand the stories people want to share, so thank you for getting in touch.
