Scaplen’s Court and Garden
Our beautifully restored, accessible building is perfect for a celebration, events, creative workshops - or just a really good coffee.

Food and drink
The Old Town Salt Pig café, tucked into the ground floor of historic Scaplen’s Court, is your go-to pit stop for a little pick-me-up or a well-earned wind-down, perfect for grabbing a coffee and a bite before you set off to explore, or flopping into after a day of sea breezes and salty adventures.

Museum shop
From locally crafted gifts to quirky, history-inspired treasures, our shop is bursting at the seams with delightful finds, perfect for a little browse, a special souvenir, or that 'just one more thing' you didn’t know you needed, with every shelf offering a new surprise and a story to take home.

Sea Music Sculpture
The internationally celebrated Sea Music Sculpture by Sir Anthony Caro, is a striking reminder of Poole’s connection to the sea. Positioned on Poole Quay, this artwork from 1991 is Caro’s only site-specific creation, designed to echo the rhythm of the sea, the masts and sails of ships, and Poole’s proud maritime history.
