The Our Museum project offers a strategic opportunity to do things differently. It will provide the structure and resources for a shift in how the Poole Museum connects with its audiences, transforming the museum’s spaces, facilities and displays. The Our Museum project aims to transform Poole Museum into a modern, thriving cultural space and community hub.
We have the following opportunities available.
Evaluation Consultant, closing date Tuesday 31st May at 12 noon.
Oral Historian, Closing date Monday 25th April at 12 noon.
As part of the Our Museum project, the Museum is launching an oral history project which will collect the personal testimonies of Poole people. These will ink to gallery themes with a focus on diverse histories relating to working life, recreation and the local environment.
The oral histories will be key in bringing the museum’s narrative up to date for all visitors and ensuring the people of Poole can see their experience reflected.
Step Up Exploring Collections - applications open. Closing Date Tuesday 26th April 9am.
We are delighted to be partnering with Outside In to deliver an Exploring Collections course as part of the museum redevelopment project. The course aims to equip participants with skills in research and interpretation. The ten-week course is open to Outside In artists and artists who see themselves as facing a barrier to the art world for reasons including health, disability, social circumstance or isolation.
