Our Upper Hall is situated within Scaplen's Court. This character-filled venue is a Grade I listed medieval building, opposite the main Poole Museum, situated adjacent to Poole High Street.

The Upper Hall on the first floor provides a large bright space which can be used flexibly to accommodate a variety of events and is perfect for meetings, conferences, lectures and training sessions.

Hire is available for various periods including half day, full day, evening and hourly hire (minimum hire 2 hours).

The Upper Hall is suitable to accommodate up to a maximum of 60 people in a variety of layouts:

Alongside the main Upper Hall there are a selection of unique museum-style smaller rooms including a Victorian kitchen and scullery, Victorian School room and two traditional toy rooms. There is also a beautiful inner courtyard, and to the rear of the house, a walled garden. These rooms and outdoor areas provide lots of flexibility for a variety of events, for example breakout areas and drinks receptions etc.

If you would like to discuss alternative layout options and / or have more bespoke requirements please contact us.

Accessibility

Given the historical nature and age of Scaplen's Court we must advise that there is no lift access to the Upper Hall on the first floor, the room is only accessible by staircase.

Toilet facilities are situated on the ground floor, off the main reception room, however there is no accessible toilet available within the building.

Please note we can arrange level access to the ground floor at Scaplen's Court as ramps can be positioned between the step thresholds to the ground floor rooms.
