Poole Museum Foundation

Poole Museum Foundation is a registered charity (number 1171114). We raise funds to support Poole Museums.

Poole Museums, comprising Poole Museum, Poole History Centre in the Town Cellars, Sea Music on the Quay, and Scaplen's Court, deliver a high quality museum service that preserves and shares Poole’s heritage, bringing to life the remarkable history of Poole, set in outstanding historic quayside buildings.

We ask for your help in our remit to support Poole Museums to provide access for all to Poole’s extraordinary heritage. We do this by supporting Poole Museums in displaying and developing the historic collections and buildings and by encouraging the advancement of public appreciation and education in arts, culture, heritage and science.

Objects of the Poole Museum Foundation

The advancement of, including the advancement of public appreciation in, the arts, culture, heritage, or science, in particular (without limitation) by:

1. acquiring and maintaining suitable objects and works of art for inclusion in the permanent collections of Poole Museum Service;

2. providing for, or supporting, the establishment, maintenance, refurbishment, enhancement and interpretation of exhibitions and displays of the said permanent collections and the buildings in which they are housed;

3. providing for, or supporting, the establishment, maintenance, refurbishment, enhancement and interpretation of other exhibitions and displays of such permanent collections.
