Mapping Skills

Practice map-reading and compass-reading skills in the grounds of Upton Country Park using maps, photos and plans to identify key landmarks.

If you book a morning session you may have your lunch at Upton Country Park. Please let us know if you wish to do this. 

 

Clothing

The workshop takes place outside at Upton Country Park. Children should wear sturdy footwear and warm and waterproof clothing on chilly days and have sun protection on sunny days.

 

Staff ratios

Please ensure you have at least 5 adult helpers as well as the class teacher to supervise the activities. 

 

Photography

We are very happy for our staff to be photographed working with your pupils. Where consent is available we would be grateful for copies of digital photos we can use for promotion and publicity.

 

Health and safety

A risk assessment has been prepared to assist you in your risk assessment

 

Access 

If your group has specific issues, such as special educational needs, learning or physical disabilities please raise these when booking so that we can tailor the session accordingly.

 

Payment 

You will be invoiced for the workshop after our visit. Please advise us of any relevant order numbers if appropriate.
