Workshops

Poole Museum and Scaplen’s Court will be closing to the public and school groups from 31st October 2022 through to Spring/Summer 2024. Our current onsite school workshop programme will therefore be on hold from September 2022. We will be bringing the Museum out on the Move to a location near you – or even to your school! Please keep an eye on our website for more information or contact louise.diffey@bcpcouncil.gov.uk for details of our free outreach offer.

When we reopen in 2024, we will continue to offer workshops in Scaplen’s Court which will have a new lift making the whole building fully accessible for the first time.

We will also offer brand new workshops to tie in with our redeveloped museum and the three new maritime galleries. These will be exciting, hands-on learning with strong curriculum links as well as a brand-new SEND offer developed with special schools.

Loan Boxes

We can offer a range of historically themed loan boxes for hands-on learning in the classroom.

Boxes cost £40 per half-term

Boxes include: Victorian Life, Seaside, World War II, Toys, Egyptians, Romans, Stone-Age

To check availability and book a box, contact Louise Diffey: louise.diffey@bcpcouncil.gov.uk
